If you are staying in London for this winter break, here are a few recommendations for arts and culture shows. This might be the last opportunity for you to see the following exhibitions who will soon be closed.

• National Gallery:  Richard Hamilton: the Late Works . A small but important exhibition showing his last works including "Le chef-d'oeuvre inconnu" based on a short story by Honoré de Balzac.
• National Gallery: Seduced by Art: Photography Past and Present. This exhibition explores the relationship between photography and painting. I am not sure about the format of the exhibition but it shows a number of amazing contemporary photographs by artists such as Tom Hunter, Sarah Jones, Luc Delahaye, Maud Sulter and Ori Gersht to name a few.
• Tate Modern: William Klein & Daido Moriyama. This exhibition allows us to explore the work and connections between these two artists who both have a fascination for urban scenes.
• Tate Britain: Pre-Raphaelites: Victorian Avant-Garde. A huge exhibition showing over 150 works including painting, sculpture, photography and the applied arts. If you do not have time to see all rooms, do not miss Room 5 where the concept of Beauty is examined.

It is the time for a family Christmas show. An original one.

• Tricycle Theatre: The Arabian Nights by Mary Zimmerman

Finally, a play NOT to be missed if you have not seen it last year:

• Barbican: Complicité The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov
